IDEA Discussion Panel
Geoscience and remote sensing are continuing to evolve alongside artificial intelligence, increasingly incorporating this technology into how we collect, process, and interpret data in order to reshape what is possible in our field. However, this transformation raises important questions which go beyond the technical: Who has access to these tools? How are researchers across the globe keeping pace in this rapidly growing landscape? What are the environmental costs which may impact the very things we research? The GRSS IDEA Program invites you to an engaging panel discussion bringing together voices across the community to explore these questions. Panelists will share their perspectives on AI challenges and opportunities, covering the scientific, professional, and even ethical aspects, offering attendees inspiration and practical takeaways for navigating this frequently shifting topic. This is your opportunity to join the conversation and connect with researchers who are helping define the future of geoscience and remote sensing!
